Zenabis: Largest Canada Cannabis Producer Hit the Market

Debates regarding the legalization of cannabis for medicinal and recreational purposes have been going around for years now. While the numerous health benefits of the plant haven’t gone unnoticed, many governments are still skeptical about taking this bold decision.

The Canadian government, however, realized the need of this incredible plant, and therefore, issued the Cannabis act, which declared that by October 17th, 2018, the selling, distribution, and possession of Cannabis for adults was allowed by law, provided that all products were bought and sold from governmentally authorized practitioners.

Following this announcement many Cannabis producers have emerged into the field, but Zenabis is, by far, the largest Licensed Cannabis producer that’s hit the market.

What is Zenabis?

Zenabis is the brand-new Canadian cannabis company that has grown up to be the largest Licensed Producers of medical cannabis in Canada. The company is the only coast-to-coast Licensed Producer in the country with a 25,000 square foot facility in Delta, British Columbia and a 380,000 square foot facility in Athol Ville,

New Brunswick. In total, these facilities encompass 660,000 square feet of indoor pharmaceutical grade cannabis production space and are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The facilities are strategically positioned on Canada’s coasts, facilitating national distribution and access to international markets.

On October 4th, 2018, the company signed an Arrangement Agreement with Bevo Agro Inc. that involved a reverse take-over of Bevo. The transaction stated that Bevo was to change its name to Zenabis Global Inc.

This transaction was unanimously approved by the board of directors of Bevo as well as a vast majority of shareholders, who voted their Bevo common shares in favor of the Transaction.

The agreement also explained that Bevo’s greenhouse facilities in Langley would be expanded and retrofitted to integrate advanced propagation technologies and state-of-the-art lighting and ventilation systems following the completion of the Transaction.

Our primary goal with this merger is to expand Zenabis’ capacity to supply high-quality cannabis for worldwide distribution,” stated CEO Rick Brar in a press release.

By October 15, 2018, Zenabis had secured purchase orders from government and third-party retailers/distributors in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Yukon, and Europe.

On October 16th, the company announced that they had signed an LOI with Hillsboro Corp Inc. to develop cannabis-infused kombucha. With this deal, Zenabis intends to work with the company in producing and distributing cannabis-infused refined tea beverage products to the Canadian population.
