Liquid THC Uses, Safety & Extraction Methods

0

Doesn’t your craving satisfy after taking different forms of marijuana like liquid THC or liquid pot? Are you always looking for something more even after a high pot-dose? Despite severe warnings by health professionals, marijuana is still the most illegally-legalized drug around the globe.

The human craving never satisfies! Once one achieves something, they want more. The drug addicts are at an extreme level of this nature. That’s why they actually play with their health. There used to be a time when 10 to 15% of THC concentration was enough for their enjoyment. But the level kept on going up, and drugs containing 30%, and then, 70% of THC came into the market. Even this wasn’t enough! And now, the liquid THC containing up to 90% THC is here, and guess what? It has sent a lot of users to the hospital, but people still use it often.

You must have gotten ample knowledge about THC strains in the previous post. Now, we are a step ahead and talking about liquid THC. Even after being so common, it is still something mysterious for the general public.

What is more confusing about liquid THC is that many websites are using their own terms to explain it. After gathering data from over 100 sites and after spending many hours, we come up with the best liquid THC guide for you.

What Is Liquid THC?

Liquid THC is a raw form of tincture extracted from various buds of marijuana or weed. The most active and high THC strains such as Royal Gorilla or Afghan Kush are usually used to produce green color liquid.

The extracted raw form of THC liquid is then gets filled into a vaporizer for vaping. It is a liquid product of cannabis obtained by soaking the plant in alcohol. The desired ingredient then comes out, which then processed as the liquid THC. Even though alcohol is widely used for the purpose, you can also use other liquids including glycerin, oil, and vinegar.

It is the purest form of THC like I said, it contains up to 90% THC. That means, a very little impurity is there, and you can intake the most wholesome form.

How Dangerous Is Liquid THC?

Despite cautionary messages by doctors, it continues to spread dramatically throughout the globe. The liquid THC is used as a drug for recreational purposes only. Let me tell you an interesting fact here! You can’t use it for medical purposes because of high THC concentration. Due to its purity, it reacts faster than any drug or medicine, which, in turn, means it alters normal body functions. How dangerous would it be when your body doesn’t work the way it was designed by nature to be?

During research for this post, I went through some sources that suggest you use it for medicinal purposes after combining it with other compounds. However, after in-depth analysis and asking authentic medical experts, I won’t recommend you to use liquid THC for treating health problems. A report given by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in June 2018 exposed that synthetic marijuana mimics the effects of rat poison. It says that hundreds of users were bought to a hospital with severe bleeding in Columbia.

I would instead advise you to lessen your usage if you overdose. Nothing is more accurate than the fact that health is wealth, and at the end of the day, you have only you to save your life. Would you like to play with such a fantastic gift you have been blessed with?

How To Use Liquid THC?

Well, there isn’t a specific way of using liquid THC, but I’ll talk about three easiest and most widely used methods.

  • Below Your Tongue

It is by far the safest way of taking liquid THC. First, because it only affects the user and not the people around him. And second, the area underneath your tongue has glands and vessels that take the drug directly to the bloodstream. That’s the reason you start dozing off the second you take it.

  • Vaping

How can’t we talk about vaping when our topic of discussion is drugs? You can always vape it up using an e-cigarette or a vape pen. It becomes THC e-juice if inhaled this way, but remember, it’s full of risk. That’s because formaldehyde in a solution might burn above temperature 200 degrees.

  • Cook or Bake It

You can always add it with your eateries while cooking or baking. The taste might be slightly different, but not very noticeable. Either bake it with cakes or add it in your cooking oil and get a high-dose meal.

Is Liquid THC Legal?

The marijuana legality keeps on updating or flowing across the U.S. states. Some have strict drug laws while others seem to be a bit lenient. Well, you must know about the “safe states” where you can easily take liquid THC. They include California, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, and other related ones.

Now, let’s have a look at the ones where the law totally or partially forbids marijuana. The states where you can’t even think about overdosing in public include Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. However, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, and North Carolina aren’t as strict as the states mentioned above. The leniency is up to the extent that you won’t be sent to jail but will be fined according to the drug intake. The states of Kansas, Idaho, and South Dakota have no drug-related laws, which means, you are free to take liquid THC there.

How Is Liquid THC Extracted?

As I said, there are multiple ways of extracting liquid THC from the cannabis plant. These processes are of great importance because its purity depends on how you extract it. That’s why I will be explaining them in detail. Have a look!

The Room-Temperature Method

It is the simplest of all methods as it’s pretty much like making tea; adding solid to the boiling liquid and sit for results. However, the difference is it takes too long. The plus points are it doesn’t need any technology, and it takes out even the minutest THC particle out of the plant. This method fails when you are in a hurry because the result comes after several weeks or even months.

Below are the steps you need to follow for this method:

  • Crush the cannabis plant and heat it in the oven for 35 minutes. Set the oven temperature at 230 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Place the heated plant in an air-tight jar.
  • Add 32 ounces of alcohol in the jar. You can use any alcohol but avoid isopropyl at any cost.
  • Cover the jar properly and shake well.
  • Let it rest for 30-60 days. Keeping it for longer gives even better results.
  • Remember, the place where you keep the jar shouldn’t either be hot or cold, but must be at average room temperature.
  • Separate liquid from the plant with a cotton cloth once the steeping period has passed.
  • Place the liquid in a jar and keep it away from sunlight. The separated liquid is the liquid THC you have been working on.

The Cold Method

The cold method requires a refrigerator for cooling down the cannabis plant, and the solvent will be dissolved into it. This method is faster than the room-temperature technique and gives almost equally successful results. However, the room-temperature method gives more purity and better results. Have a look at the steps involved in the process and see how the liquid THC extracted via this way.

  • Cut and dry out the cannabis plant.
  • Decarboxylate and grind the dried plant.
  • Keep it in a zipper bag to store it in a freezer for 12 to 16 hours. Also, put alcohol in a jar and put it in the fridge.
  • Once the plant is frozen, put one-ounce cannabis in 32 ounces alcohol in a jar and shake it continuously for five minutes. Make sure the lid is tightly sealed.
  • Keep the jar in the freezer and keep on shaking it after every two or three hours. Give a thorough shake every time.
  • You have to keep it stored for 48 hours, and you may reduce the frequency of shaking after 24 hours. However, better switch to alternate shaking.
  • Just like you separated the liquid from solid in the room-temperature method, you have to do the same here.
  • Store the liquid in a sealed and opaque jar to avoid sunlight entrance.

The Hot Method

This method is the fastest of the three ways we talked about. So, if waiting isn’t your cup of tea, then this is the technique for you. It takes just an hour to extract the purest THC, but the liquid taken out can only be used for recreational purposes. The cooking process kills the medicinal benefits, and this is a disadvantage of this method. It is just as simple as the cold method, with the only difference in heating the solution rather than cooling. However, it comes with its risks because alcohol can be set on fire during the process.

Below is the step-by-step guide as to how to perform the method.

  • You have to dry, decarboxylate, and chop the dried plant in the same way as you did in the cold method.
  • The differences come after that! Put the chopped plant in a jar and add two ounces of strong alcohol.
  • Now, you need a thermometer to give a water bath to the mixture.
  • Place one-inch water in a pan and bring it to boil. Put the thermometer in the jar and place the jar in the pan.
  • Bring temperature to 170 degrees and not a degree more than that. You need just a little less temperature than the boiling point of ethanol, i.e., 173 degrees. Keeping it for 20 minutes will take the temperature to 170 degrees. However, keep on monitoring as the time may slightly vary.
  • Separate the liquid from solid just the same way as the cold temperature method and store it in a jar.

Putting it all Together

The liquid THC is extracted from the cannabis plant, and it contains much higher concentration than regular weed forms. It is available in the form of small cartridges and usually designed to be used in vaporizers for inhaling flavored vapors. While natural tinctures contain around 15-25% THC, the liquid concentration may contain 60-90% THC. These liquid concentrations may contain potentially dangerous chemicals, and that’s why mostly labeled as “not for human consumption.” Be careful of getting too much high of pure THC that can cause severe damage to your health when inhaled internally.

However, users have reported various health benefits when used appropriately. It can be beneficial for reducing anxiety and depression and can also provide you energy and relaxation.

Don’t you want to vape and doze off to throw all your worries away with the liquid THC.
