RedStorm Scientific

Partnerships
.............................

RedStorm is aggressively seeking partnerships that will deploy the Fyrestar technology to achieve the design and development of protein pharmaceuticals. RedStorm works with pharmaceutical companies to identify the physical basis of mid to late-stage, as well as second generation, development problems. Importantly, RedStorm's capabilities both supplement and complement existing research efforts, and as such RedStorm's interaction can be tailored to meet our collaborators' specific needs.

RedStorm currently has the following partnerships in place:

  • The University of Texas Medical Branch is a world-renowned medical research facility comprised of 350,000 square feet of laboratory space and more than 1,000 scientists working on cutting edge research on a diverse cross-section of scientific endeavors. In March 2000 and August 2000, the Company executed licenses pursuant to which the Company acquired from UTMB the technology that RedStorm is commercializing as FyrestarTM, as well as any and all future developments through the year 2008. Pursuant to these agreements, RedStorm receives preferential pricing on overhead for all research it sponsors at UTMB and has access to UTMB's substantial scientific resources, including a state-of-the-art Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory and the X-Ray Crystallography Laboratory.
