Fyrestar predicts libraries of tight binding protein inhibitors avoiding extensive laboratory trial and error.  Amino acid sequences can be generated and tested by the algorithm then altered and retested.  The figure above illustrates streptavidin in complex with a sequence designed by the Fyrestar platform.  Of further note is the close correlation between experimental binding affinity of the designed sequence to streptavidin and the fraction of molecules predicted to be binding competent by Fyrestar.
